What’s New in Term Two

In Term 2, we’ve had an amazing time diving into the world of stories through Talk4Writing! Using the exciting text “Supertato,” we learned about the 5 key parts of a story, following the thrilling adventures of a very brave super potato. Our budding mathematicians have been hard at work, and it’s clear our number skills are soaring! Reading, spelling, and writing have also taken centre stage, and our teachers couldn’t be prouder of how much we’ve learned. Plus, don’t forget to stop by and check out our incredible space station—we’re exploring the wonders beyond our planet and having a blast doing it!

Harmony Day

Harmony Day

During Harmony Day at our school the Year 1 students embraced cultural diversity by donning traditional attire from their respective backgrounds. The vibrant colours of India, the elegant designs of Thailand, and the graceful styles of Korea all came together in a beautiful display of unity. It was a heart-warming celebration that showcased the rich heritage and unique identities within our school community. Through this shared experience, students learned the value of cultural appreciation and the beauty of coming together as one harmonious family.

Welcome to Year 1

Welcome to Year 1

In term one our Year 1 students embarked on a thrilling journey of investigation and building in various learning areas throughout the classroom! They enthusiastically crafted intricate structures in the building area and eagerly explored our investigation corners. They took their ideas and planned out what to create. They shared these ideas with teachers and friends. They wrote sentences and recorded explanations. They inspired and challenged each other to think. It was a joyous celebration of learning through hands-on experiences, fostering creativity, and expanding their knowledge in a dynamic environment.

We are proud of our children and all that they achieve and share with them a great pride in our school.
